LeakTEC is mainly used to detect leaks in medical equipment such as medical test tubes, containers, pipettes, cannulas and extruded films (for the production of medical bags).

Because plastic products are insulators, it is possible to automatically detect pinholes smaller than 3 microns by introducing a potential between the detection electrode and an electrical ground (such as a metal clamp or a metal shaft). If there are cracks or pinholes in plastic products, electrical contacts can be created between the electrodes and the ground. The contact is detected by connecting the generator module on the main controller. The main controller can either initiate the next "defective" function or monitor the production trend and feedback for early adjustment or repair. In order to ensure that all the electrodes can work, each electrode has a corresponding anti-electrode for testing. The signal from the trans-electrode is received by the PLC and processed.
